Granted, it's an American holiday, but Thanksgiving Day is a wonderful concept and we all could spend a day reflecting on those things in life for which we're thankful. Though life can be hard sometimes, and sometimes we think there really isn't much to be thankful for, I venture to guess that when we really sit still and ponder our personal life that we would find that the list really is endless of things and people we are thankful for. To me it's like prayer...I start praying for someone here and there, and before I know it, I realize I could be praying endlessly because there's always something else to talk to God about! I bet our thankfulness could be endless, too, if we really sat still and thought about all the joys of our lives...family, friends, things that bring us joy whether it's a simple field of flowers seen by the side of the road or the feel of the car we're driving revving beneath our feet. Be thankful if you have a car! Be thankful even if you don't 'cause then you can be thankful for feet that carry you place to place. Be thankful for your job. Be thankful if you don't have a job because you can be thankful for the opportunity to find something new! Be thankful if you're rich, and even more thankful if your riches haven't ruined you. Be thankful if you're poor, because in poverty there are riches of another kind. Be thankful no matter what situation you are in, because there is always something to be thankful for, even when it seems that there is nothing worthy of gratitude in our lives. There is always something to be grateful for...what is that for you?
Have a happy day of thankfulness whereever you are in this world today.
