Please keep the prayers coming for Tommy's situation. I hesitate to say much of anything about it, but I am excited to share with you this
news story to show you how the Lord is working.
Read it! And keep praying 'cause it's not over yet. It's probably only just begun now that it's finally out in the open.

Hi Karla,
I don't know you at all but I stumbled across your blog and just wanted to say I think your husband was so brave to speak out knowing what it could cost him, but he definitely did the right thing. Injustice within the prison system needs to be revealed and it takes a prophet to do that sometimes (but of course, they are often not accepted in their own country). I hope things aren't too tight for money with the kids and everything. Have strength.
Take care,
Susie (in England)
Hey, Anna! I didn't realize one had to register with the AJC to read the story (though I did register awhile back which is probably why it pulls up for me). It doesn't cost anything to register if you want to register. Other than that, right now the story is so fresh that there are no other stories printed about it. However, the journalist indicated the story was too big to cover in one story so there will be subsequent stories printed. I'll be on the lookout for any other papers that pick it up for those who can't read the AJC article. Thank you for trying! :)
Susie, thank you for your comment. Interesting how you said that a prophet is not often accepted in their own country. That is so true, isn't it? Things are tight, but you know the Lord provides and we were tremendously blessed yesterday when a friend gave us $100 and brought two loaves of bread over. And this right after my oldest daughter indicated she'd like some toast and I told her I'd have to go to the store to get some! We were actually coming out of the house when our friends pulled up in their car and delivered the bread and cash to us! The Lord has been ahead of us this whole journey. Even just this morning a prayer was answered AS I WAS PRAYING IT! Yes, we're being strong. It's not our strength of course. And this is not our work. But we're so honored as we feel we're definitely being used by the Lord to change the wrong that has been going on. Thank you for your comments and your encouraging words. They help us to stay strong and fight the good fight!
Hi Karla,
Your family is blessed to have such an honorable man for a husband and father. I truly believe that God will honor your husbands integrity.
My prayers go out to you and your precious family.
Goodness me! I know you didn't want to talk about it but now that it is really out in the opening, I sure pray things go well and he just stays away from that prison.
May the Lord place a hedge of thorns around your family for protection.
Thank you Tommie for speaking out. Sometimes decisions to do that are not easy.
