DISHCLOTH SWAP

A reader left a comment on a previous post, asking if I'd like to have another little mini-swap for a dishcloth. Let me give you a brief glimpse into my mind however...don't worry, it's not too scarey to be in my head.

Tasha was my partner in Swap-bot's swap "Dishcloth Exchange" which ran from October 31st to November 15th, 2006. Or rather I should say, she was my assignment. Someone else was given my name....and I never got a dishcloth. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting I got one of those infamous "Not Sent" swappers.

When I was assigned Tasha, I went to her blog to learn a bit about her and see if I could sorta personalize a dishcloth for her. You know, to suit her kitchen decor, or her fave color choices, etc. While perusing her blog, I saw some of her knitting. She pictured the lovely dishcloth she had made for her partner in the same swap, I believe. And you know, I thought "Man, it's going to take me a long time to knit a dishcloth. I'd much rather crochet one....much faster." But I worried that as a knitter, she might be one of those knitters who believes nothing good can come from crochet. So I worried that my dishcloth would not be appreciated as much as I appreciated the picture of her knitted dishcloth. Not that she ever put out any airs that she might be someone that thought like that! This was all just in my mind. Well, life's too short, and I had an assignment to complete. So I picked a pattern and just went for it. I didn't even know what color she might like, so the color I used was just a random choice. Then I sent it off to her with the hopes that she'd at least find it functional even if it was from that inferior crochet craft. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting (end of the glimpse into my mind)

Well here was her impression of my crocheted dishcloth.... (click here and scroll down a bit).

And now she is ASKING ME to make her another one! Now isn't that just the greatest compliment? Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Thank you, Tasha! Of course, I'll swap with you!

That dishcloth is exceedingly cute. :)

I hope everything is OK with you. My blog reading seems to go in spurts. (so does my posting)

If you have time and know my email, drop me a line and I'll write back, I want to ask you something.

Wow, what a cute dishcloth. Do you think you could hook me up with the directions? I might be able to handle making one. I just love it.

Hi, Netter!

The dishcloth pattern is called "Little Dress Cotton Dishcloth" and is found here! It's quick and easy! Enjoy!
