A New Year's Wish List!

Ok, I saw this over at Crochetville but also on Beth's blog, who saw it on Kari's blog.... you get the picture.

It was a holiday Wish List, but hey, I think it would make a great New Year's Wish List, too! That gives us 12 months to fulfill other people's wishes instead of just 1 or 2 months at the end of the year. So in the spirit of wishing, here is my Wish List of my 10 most wished for things. But first, the rules as posted on Beth's blog:

********************

Step One:

Make a post to your weblog/journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two:

Surf around your blogroll (or friend's blogrolls, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call. There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

And now for my Wish List:

1. Beeswax candles.

2. Gift card to Barnes & Noble bookstore.

3. Or Michaels, JoAnn's or any online yarn store (was that 3 wishes?)

4. Cashmere yarn... this is a wish list, after all. :)

5. A "sheep" measuring tape...I saw one on someone's blog that they had received! How cute was that?

6. Cara Mia yarn in offwhite or rosey colors.

7. Crochet books by Candi Jensen.

8. A yarn winder.

9. My very own craft room.

10. The most biggest thing I could wish for is that we could pay off our home this year .... we only owe about $17,000!

So there is my New Year's Wish List for any angels out there who might want to make a girl's dreams come true.

Did I mention that my birthday is January 25th? ;-)

Oh, and you can "Write Me" over in the right-hand column over there if you need an address. :)
