"What is a 'Moonpie'?", you ask

Thank you, Andrea, for asking! A moonpie is a sweet treat that I would describe as two round cookie wafers sandwiching a huge marshmallow and the entire concoction is dipped in chocolate (they also have a banana flavored coating instead of chocolate, but I'm partial to the chocolate). They even have "double-deckers" which has three cookie layers and two marshmallow layers! I can't eat an entire double-decker though hubby can. It's pretty filling.

And for all of you who want to see a moonpie or read more about it, there's actually a homepage devoted just to the Moonpie!

For everyone who will leave a comment and ask for one, I'll SEND to you a moonpie! You can thank hubby for that grand idea. Andrea, you are the first one who will receive one! Hope you like!

Hmmm... those sound rather like the "wagon wheels" we had up in Winnipeg when I was a kid. I don't recall wagon wheels having multiple flavours, though. Just chocolate.

Thanks! ;) If you send me one, I'll try to do a comparison. (Although I think the last time I had a wagon wheel was in grade 6!)

OOOH, I think either Little Debbie's or someone makes those. They do come in either chocolate or banana and are found in our local supermarket here in Mass. It's on the same shelves as things like Yodels, and Fudge Rounds. I haven't had one in YEARS! Hmmm...the banana ones used to be addictive :)
